Corporate Governance
Proxy Democracy helps you vote your stock according to your goals - financial, social, environmental etc. It lets you compare the voting records of various mutual and pension funds (e.g. on climate change). So you can choose funds with voting records you respect. It also offers a free service, emailing you voting decisions by your preferred funds on stocks you both own, before the voting deadline. So you can conveniently piggyback your stock voting decisions on those of funds you trust. This was inspired by Mark Latham's writings (e.g. "Proxy Voting Brand Competition") and is directed by Andrew Eggers, a Harvard government PhD student. See 2008-05-07 article at SocialFunds.com; also the ProxyDemocracy Blog.
